I did Accupunture prior to knowing I had MS and found it very relaxing. I have very tight muscles and was wondering if I should try again, just concerned it might activate my immune system which might not be good for ms

YES! It helps me so much! I think a lot of it is about the practitioner because I tried it several years ago and didn't notice a difference. In all fairness, there was a language barrier so I didn't get to really explain my symptoms then. Now, I see someone who is an incredible healer. The first 10 minutes of our appointment is us talking and her asking me questions about how I'm feeling so she can tailor her treatment accordingly. She also does a ton of research constantly to ensure she's treating my MS symptoms appropriately. Since I started seeing her she has helped me greatly reduce the symptoms I was feeling and I feel so much better as a result. I'm in the process of moving and it's pretty painful (literally. my back and sciatic nerve act up every few days from all the packing, lifting, moving, and unpacking). Going to acupuncture once a week during the move has been a lifesaver. I leave feeling no pain and total rejuvenation.
FYI, when I first started going, she wanted to see me every week. After about 3 months when I was feeling significantly better, we started tapering me off to go every-other week, and then once a month. I'll go back to once a month after I'm done with the move.
If you go, ask for cupping and spooning. Cupping helps release toxins (which is something many of us MSers have issues with) - it's pretty amazing. Yes, you'll look like your back was attacked by a gang of vacuum hoses, but it's pretty neat to see how the color changes depending on how much toxicity is in your muscles. It really helps with the knots in my back. And spooning relieves tension and inflammation in your neck. It's been a lifesaver during my move as there were several times I seized up so badly that I couldn't turn my head without significant pain.

I got acupuncture done on a cruise that I went on. It was very relaxing, but in my case I don’t know if it did all that much for me
