Is there any assistance out there to help pay for foldable/portable electric power wheelchairs. I have found several different models on the internet. They range in price from $1500 to over $3000. I like these because they weigh only 50 – 60 pounds and are easily transported unlike the 400 pound big powerchairs.

If you are covered by state health ins like MediCal, just ask your Doctor for a chair. My ins only covered my in home, big power chair. Amazon has the small ones they call scooters.
If you belong to Shared Solutions, they help talk to insurance companies, I think. I'm not positive about that but you could ask them. We got my scooter at a Medical Supply.
