I recieve state disability right now .. I will be laid off from my job starting tmrw 7/31 .. I did not start my treatment didnt want to start something i will not be covered for and have to come out the pocket even more .. I filled for medi-cal i think im over the $ cap for it tho ... Now that i have no job will i stop getting state and get unemployment? Idk what to do for health care 😐😔 if denied medi-cal taking all advice .. Anyone go through this/similar?
Find out what medications you will need and research them on line. Sometimes you can find web sites that will pay all or most of your expenses. I have been able to find assistance for medications. I wish all the luck in the world and May God Bless You.

Im on Gilenya and did not have a job when I started, Medicaid was what I had for 1 year. Now employed and have employer coverage, I qualify for Gilenya co pay assistance through Gilenya. If you have medicaid, naturally, you would not qualify for their program. My Gilenya co pay is $100 a month without assistance program. Its $0 with the program. I think $6,000 is what Gilenya costs, so I wont complain too much about the $100, if I did not have co pay assistance. I think the co pay assistance only covers up to 18k a year so Ill get co pay assistance for 4 months, if im understanding correctly.
@A MyMSTeam Member ... Yes!! ... Thx so much!! I will look into any and all things ... Just upset i was going in for my first round of Gilenya and didnt so idk what medications to even request ugh i just dont wanna be a giniPig lab rat
@A MyMSTeam Member in CA you must have little to no income to qualify for Medi-Cal. If they terminate you, then that would help the income qualification. Also, look into Medicaid.
