I just had my fourth OCREVUS infusion. It makes you very tired and leaves you weak with a bad headache .but the next day it gets better. They give you an infusion of steroids first, about 45 minutes, then OCREVUS. The first time ypu get only 1/2 dosage. 2 weeks later you get the second half. A full dose takes 5 hours. Plan on 6 hours for everything including blood draws. It's not too bad. Good luck, or rather, be blessed.

*** PPMS and Ovrevus ***

Since the first day in 2015 that it was announced that Ocrevus was in trials for PPMS there has been a need for a separate location for those of us with Progressive MS to gather, discuss and share information regarding this medication. Fast forward to 2017 when Ocrevus was approved by the FDA as a medication for PPMS patients in the USA, and even more so now in 2018 that some with Progressive MS have already started this new treatment, that need for a separate meeting place has only grown.

Here is a new, closed Facebook group that was started on April 13, 2018 specifically for PPMS, SPMS and Ocrevus.

Hopefully moving ahead we will be able to see this group grow and share valuable stories and information. I look forward to seeing some of my friends here on MyMSteam diagnosed with Progressive MS join us over there.

I started ocrevus in April. I’ve had no problems with relapse so far. When the drug starts to in my system I can feel the change in my breathing. Once I relax it’s alright.

@ toto thank you for posting that answer i was just about to ask about how it all works lol. i knew you only get half dose first time but i didn't realize the 2nd half was so soon..anyway thank you :) my neuro just faxed in the start up forms yesterday.
