Are there any other MS-ers out there who have been given ocrevus, and what have been the benefits? Has walking/balance/cognitive symptoms improved any?

I'll go for my next infusion in September. I haven't had any side effects but honestly won't know if it's truly working until I get my next MRI. I agree with Nelson that people have had amazing results but for me personally nothing has changed.

There are numerous very informative Ocrevus groups on Facebook, you should definitely join a couple of them.

I am on Retuximab, which is basically the same drug. I dont really notice much difference from when I took Gilenya. I do know some that have more disability than I do, these infusion drugs have really helped. Others..it has caused more issues. But I think generally the good results outweigh the bad based on reviews I have read.

MSF 30 Deciding if Ocrevus Is Right for You.
I hope this helps
The caution about Ocrevus is that “the risks may outweigh the rewards.” The main determining factor is age.
Ocrevus has been shown to work best when lesions are active and enhanced, most likely at the time of diagnosis. Because PPMS already weakens the immune system, and because Ocrevus depletes certain B-cells, so it could further compromise the immune system. That could leave you vulnerable to dangerous infections.
@ Ocrevus
decreases relapse rates by 80%
decreases MRI activity by 95%
decreases brain atrophy by 45%
Chance of improving symptoms is very high in RRMS.
Decreasing relapse rates should be a must when fighting MS because a relapse can be unexpectedly horrific.

Ocrevus clinical trial results the age group tested in the trial was 18-55.
OCREVUS is given every 6 months as an IV infusion
•Your first dose of OCREVUS will be given as 2 separate infusions 2 weeks apart. These will last about 2.5 hours each*
•Every dose after your first will be given as 1 single infusion 6months apart, lasting about 3.5 hours*
•Before each infusion of OCREVUS you will receive corticosteroids and an antihistamine to help reduce infusion-related reactions (IRRs)
•OCREVUS should be given under the close supervision of an experienced healthcare provider with access to appropriate medical support to manage severe reactions such as serious IRRs

I’ve been on Ocrevus since 2017. No improvement with balance, but immune system is really low...ie pneumonia, uti, prostate infection. First time ever... I’m 62 and was diagnosed in 1988 with MS
