Adderall

A MyMSTeam Member asked a question 💭
Perth, UK

Is this prescribed in Scotland? My fatigue has been horrendous for the last 5 months and I discussed this with my Neurologist. They have not been helpful and are again sending me back to occupational therapy for more 'fatigue management'. I have been doing their management for the last 6 years.
Is there anything that I can take to help with my fatigue?

The catch with any Amphetimine (adderall, methylphenidate etc etc) is building up a tolerance so you need larger and larger doses, it is addictive and any time
you don't have it you will feel worse soo you can't go without,a slippery slope.

I’m on methylphenidate 10 mg for Ms Fatigue It helps with my fatigue, I’m prescribed 2 times a day. I take one in the morning, and I try to remember the second dose but it’s not always easy.
It does help. I’ve been taking it for 6 years.

I have took it for months and its made my symptoms worse the doctors believe. I would find an alternative to this medication. I have adhd that's why I took it not for fatigue. It actually made me more tired and lazy. I was on Concerta. Similar to adderal. I have had both.
