Amprya is not a MS med but its supposed to help with walking
Yes, I've been on it for 3 years. It helps me a great deal! It also helps me not to have so many cramps and spasms, in my legs. I highly recommend it! Before using it I was having a lot of trouble walking! I still use a walker but, I have some days that I can just use my cane. I am walking more upright and further than I was before I the Ampyra. It is not just for walking! It helps with many symptoms of MS! Spasticity is one of them. When I miss doses it makes all of my symptoms worse!
Thanks, will try you suggestion.
The number of people reporting seizures compared to the number of people taking Ampyra since it was approved in 2010 is probably in the neighborhood of (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)%.
I have been taking it for five years, no problems or even a hint of a seizure, and I can't walk without it.
Also, I'm the Admin of an Ampyra group on Facebook and we just don't get reports of that happening.

Many people have had success with it with no side effects, but be aware that .
seizures are a known side effect of Ampyra, and seizure risk increases with higher blood levels of the drug. Although it might help me, the seizure risk has me reluctant to try it and my neuro agrees.
I am taking it now. Twice a day and have seen no improvement in my walking. Don't know why I'm still on it. I can't walk without a walker and use a wheelchair when I go out. Have you seen improvement in your walking?
