I am taking the Ocrevus infusion & the only problem i had was the first time i had an allergic reaction to the adhesive patch they put over the iv. Haven't had any other troubles &the adhesive dont bother me any longer. Its been great i feel better than i ever have on any of the other treatments ive been on. Im scared of needles but the staff at the infusion centers put iv in&out all day long&are very good at it so no worries there either. Make sure you take a book or something to do because its quite boring! Wish you the best&hope it works great for you like it has for me.

I haven't taken the Ocrevous infusion but have taken Ocrevous' cousin drug, Rituximab. I was a bit scared before my fist infusion but it happened without incident. The things to remember are you won't be left alone for extended periods by the medical staff helping you with the infusion and you will probably be observed for a period after your first infusion. I have my treatment in a large infusion center. I observed, I didn't stare because that would be creepy, a patient who had a negative reaction to his infusion but the medical staff recognized the signs and helped him off the infusion within 5 minutes of the problem. Look, we all know the infusion has a chance of causing you a negative reaction but I'm telling you that the staff where you get the infusion will be on top of all situations. I had no problems, another person had an issue but both of us are fine. I would say it's a really good idea to identify where the restroom is when you enter the infusion center. The infusion introduces a lot of extra liquid to your system so knowing where the rest room is may become very necessary.

There are a number of closed Facebook groups for Ocrevus.
You should join one, pick the ones with the most members, and read the stories from MS'ers that have experience with this drug.
It's not for everyone, as are most things for MS.

I've been on ocrevous since it became available. I've had no side effects and its doing what it should do.
