I recently had HSCT so am considered at -risk of serious side effects. So I was wondering whether there is anyone out there who has had COVID-19. I did here about George Alagia BBC report with stage 4 cancer and has 60 sessions of chemo over the last 5 years who recovered from COVID19. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-52111754/bbc-s... has anyone else got any good news?
Hi my name is abbey I live in London England. And I had covid 19. Two weeks ago. I have TM. Which is transverse Myelitis and MS. I have also bad sinus problems which caused an infection in my nose I caught covid 19. Off a parcel or letter that came into my house. It has taken me two weeks to get over covid 19. And I can honestly say it the worse illness that I have had ever had I believe the symptoms started a good week before the onset of the illness and after 7 days got worse and then affected my breathing which was terrible I found it hard d to hold a sentence together and breath. I was given antibiotics for the sinus infection and had to ride the temperature and cough out. It’s now nearly three weeks and although I’m feeling a lot better my TM and MS have flared up terribly with extra pain and numbness in my legs and feeling very heavy
Please stay safe people this is not to laughed about at all as I still am struggling after nearly four weeks now.
I'm new around here. What is HSCT, I don't know?
I am on my way to be tested. I've been feeling sick, having pain in my chest and headaches. Hopefully it is not Covid 19, but I have to be safe because I take care of my elderly father.
Your immune system takes time to recover, till then i suggest taking all the precautions you can (EX; mask outdoors (if you must go outdoors)/wash hands frequently/no raw foods (sushi etc)...stay safe...I did HSCT in Moscow in 2015...i saw a webinar two weeks ago from Dr. Fedorenko suggesting your immune system needs about 12-18 months to be back 100%...stay safe and enjoy the rollocoaster for 6-10 months post
I have not seen or heard of any COVID19 cases on this site yet
I am interested in hearing about your HSCT procedure.
1. How old are you?
2. How long have you had MS and what type?
3. Where was the HSCT performed and when?
4. Did the procedure include chemo?
5. Finally, how is your recovery going?
The Very Best to You!
