Vumerity

A MyMSTeam Member asked a question 💭
Meridian, ID

Hi warrior family. My neuro is switching me from tysabri infusions to the daily pill vumerity. I've researched it online and it is very similar to tecfidera. I'm wondering who all takes vumerity and how well has it worked for you?

I am taking Vumerity. It’s been a blessing to me. I’m also taking Modafinil for fatigue. Between the two, I feel almost human.

Since it's similar to tecfidera, I can say it was given to me after using an injection. Used it for years, then was put on chemo (unnecessarily). Now I'm on nothing, cause they say I DO NOT HAVE MS. Whenever you not feeling well because of meds, speak with your doctor to take you off.

I’ve been on Tecfidera for a couple years. The only side-effects I’ve experienced is flushing

@A MyMSTeam Member I have become jcv positive so my neuro didn't want me on the tysabri for more than a total of 2yrs. He felt the next med should be the vumerity.
