Dietary Restrictions?
I began drinking a lot more water. I start every day by drinking 100 mls of water. Besides giving my kidneys a good workout it does help with fatigue. I also recommend doing an elimination diet where you eliminate 1 food from your diet and see how that makes you feel before deciding to continue the food's elimination or not
I'm with you on that one!! Anything I can do holistically ... I'm there!! I forgot to mention, one major thing changing my diet helped with is also headaches. The migraine crippling kind. I'm virtually headache free:) I just tripped across this on another MS sight ... timely:)
Paleolithic or “Paleo” diet —also called the caveman diet. This suggests eating fish, grass-fed meat, vegetables, fruits, and nuts like our prehistoric ancestors; and avoiding grains, legumes, dairy, and processed foods
Wahls elimination diet —made popular by Terry Wahls, a doctor living with MS. This diet contains some components of the Paleo diet and eliminates all grains, dairy, legumes, and eggs
Gluten-free diet —many people keep a gluten-free diet to avoid a reaction. Gluten is a specific kind of protein found in wheat, rye, and barley
Mediterranean diet —a diet that favors fruits and vegetables; monounsaturated fats such as olive oil; foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, like fish, nuts, and seeds; and limited amounts of red wine and dairy
Swank diet —a low-fat diet that eliminates all red meat
Good Morning!! YES. I highly recommend an anti-inflammatory eating plan. Terry Wahls (if you haven't heard of her) has a very good book that outlines a Paleo based high quality fat diet. (She is a Dr, with MS, and doing a lot of research) I also did a food sensitivity blood panel, and have cut out anything that registered as being problematic.
I find all of this helps immensely with fatigue, energy, and brain fog ... a lot. So does intermittent fasting. At least for me:)
I hope this helps!!
Drinking water really helps you are very correct!
I, so agree on the Anti Inflammatory Diet and also the Gluten-Free Diet. For Me I, do not eat to much Meat either.
