Botox In Bladder?

A MyMSTeam Member asked a question 💭
Buckie, UK

Has anyone had Botox or any medication which helps with the constant need to pee? I’ve had spasms in my bladder for years but lately I feel
like I need to pee all the time and it’s driving me round the bend. Ive been checked for UTI’s so it’s not that. TIA

Ma'am I don't think you want to go the catheterization route unless absolutely necessary!! It is really a pain to deal with especially being in a wheelchair!!! Don't quit on yourself please!!🙂🙂🙂🙂

I had a super pubic catheter installed due shutting down of my bladder! So I don't have any ideas about what works. I hope you find something that helps!!

I've heard Botox works for bladder control. The shots of Botox seem to be a bit uncomfortable but work for sometime, I think they are designed to work for 6 months

Thank you both. I am a little worried about actually getting it done but if it helps I think I’ll try it. I have also considered a suprapubic as I think it would be easier than catheterisation. Thanks again for your help.
