Are There Any Plant Based Or Vegans Here Feeling Better With Their MS.
I find that what I eat can make me very symptomatic. Meat, heavy fats and sugars are the worst. I was trying to transition to a plant based diet.
I believe whole food plant based diet manages my symptoms. Went full on strict vegan for couple years after diagnosis now not as strict (junk food vegan) but planning to return as starting to not feel well. I was pretty symptom free for 20 years.

Yes, I dove head first into a raw/vegan diet after my diagnosis in 2008. It took about 3 weeks to fully detox from sugar, dairy, etc. I'm not as strict now but still juice and drink veggies and supplement with Barley Max, a pure plant suplement that I will not ever be without! (Hallelujah Acres in SC), I am symptom free except for dropped foot and sensitivity to heat.
My wife started us eating vegan over two years ago. Because of our health issues it's hard for me to exactly pinpoint yes it is, or no it isn't. My wife sees a big difference, but with my cognitive challenges, I don't know. I do know that when I fart, it doesn't stink like it did when we were eating meat and their products. We eat a lot of beans, vegetables, fruits, grains and so forth. I trust my wife, because she doesn't want to see me have any more relapses, of which have been very minor caused by fatigue. We have tried so many different ways of eating, and Beverley says this is the one we will stick with.
Hello! I'm a chef and I've had bariatric surgery so I can't eat a lot of stuff as it upsets my tummy so I have adapted by incorporarating tofu and vegetables in many ways because I'm honestly way happier now l than when we'd eat meat/starch/veg. Lots of fun ideas, too. I feel way better the cleaner I eat, too.
