A MyMSTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone take rebif and if or when you do , Does it make you feel like you were hit by a truck ?

I took Rebif for roughly 15 years without issues. I now take Ocrevus. The switch was made not because Rebif wasn't working, but because of the hope that Ocrevus could possibly help my MS symptoms.

I just to start by saying I'm sure Rebif works for some but the side effects proved too much for me. I didn't feel like I was hit by a truck but I started to cry at coffee commercials aimed at tugging on ones heart strings. Traditionally, I wasn't one to be outwardly emotional but that got so bad that I told my neuro about this new symptom. He said it was recommended that most folks on Rebif also take an antidepressant. Never one to sign up for taking more drugs I switched meds. I would remind you it's your duty to keep trying MS DMTs until you finally find the one that both quells your MS symptoms and you can tolerate. It's totally OK if that's not Rebif for you. I know that wasn't Rebif for me
