What Time Of Day Do You Prefer Taking Copaxone?

A MyMSTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I am going to start taking the generic form of Copaxone when I get it on Tuesday March 15th. I tried Copaxone before injecting 3 times a week, but it was too strong. I am going to be on the one a day injection, and I was wondering what time of day is best?

My routine is Mon: 4pm, Weds: 5pm and Fri: 6pm. If I miss Fri, I take it Sat morning and then start M, W and Fri again. Been taking for over 21 years. Good Luck and please don't hesitate to ask me any further questions. 😊

I did take Copaxone for some time and the only thing I'd remind you about is to ask about what happens when you give yourself a mis-shot. I can't explain how a mis-shot happens but you'll know if this happens (I swore I was dying but obviously wasn't and I wouldn't have been so panicked if I had known this to be something that could happen). Also, be sure to keep your auto-injector settings as a deviation often leads to a mis-shot. Otherwise, Copaxone is a good drug and where the time of the day you choose to take it doesn't matter as much as you might think. By all means set a schedule to be able to keep track of the injections but after questions I asked my neurologist, the time of day doesn't change the effectiveness of the drug
