Hi all and I hope your day is great. What is your take on magnesium? I want to do my best to keep the bones hard and healthy. I've been reading a lot about how soda drinks can deplete the magnesium.
I've had my times in the past of drinking cola. Does anyone have input on this amazing mineral?
Best,

I take magnesium at night to help with sleep.I always take it with Calcium to help my body absorb it. It has also helped with spacticity in my legs at night. Frank is right..you need to watchhow much youare taking. Consult your doctor or a pharmacist about correct dosages for you.
Yes you need magnesium . . and YES soda is BAD!!!!! it dissolves calcium out of your body and magnesium too . . . .
Another good way to get magnesium is to add epsom salts to your bath or do a foot bath with epsom salts.
Hi Danny, thank you for your question: indeed magnesium is vital to us MS Warriors! I am taking 450mg compounded by local chemist, otherwise magnesium malate, magnesium citrate etc, daily over 400mg.
Stay strong stay safe.

I, take 400 MG. of Magnesium and this really helps Me with Spasms and also Bowel Movements.
From WebMD:
Too much magnesium from foods isn't a concern for healthy adults. However, the same can't be said for supplements. High doses of magnesium from supplements or medications can cause nausea, abdominal cramping and diarrhea.
Remember, everyone is different and "safe" amounts are individualistic. Like any supplements...care has to be taken seriously.
