@A MyMSTeam Member,
My MS Physiatrist (MD --- Physiatrist’s are recovery specialists) began his career participating with the MS Research Center at the Wayne State University in Detroit. When he came to Traverse City, he continued doing MS Research. As such he received several commendations from the National MS Society and CMS (Medicare) for his developmental work with MS Patients.
Because of structural changes in his practice, he is no longer involved with MS Research. When his research ended, he was studying the impact of Barometric Pressure on MS Patients. He was (is) aware of the impact of high relative humidity which is exacerbated by a relatively high Dew Point (on many MS Patients).
The simplistic answer to your question is yes, the weather can and does affect many of us with MS. I am particularly affected by high relative humidity, more impacted when the Dew Point is high. Because of the Physiatrist, I believe that when the Barometric Pressure drops, I am impacted. – That is when I get the slows – Bugs Bunny on Ether --
weather changes will affect you . just keep fighting.
