It's hard to say yes and no, lower back pain can be caused by so many things. My best guess, age. or maybe you did something you shouldn't have such as lifting something heavy and you didn't realize it. one of those things we all do.

having a tendency to get back spasm, i found doing anything 'too' can bring one on - too long standing, too heavy lifting, too OFTEN lifting...sleeping wrong coughing wrong....

My lower back hurts all the time. When the weather change also I have a firm pillow on my back that seems to help

if i can feel the tension building during standing so I KNOW it is the long muscles going into spasms or ripples of spasm, at LEAST I KNOW it isn't kidney or kidney stone pain again!
