Does anyone here take 1mg of clonazepam at night ( for sleep). I do. I wanted to change doctors so I went to this doctor. He wanted me to wean myself off clonazepam and to take physical therapy. I was shocked. I have been on clonazepam since diagnosed with Ms back in '98.
I take it, my GP prescribed it for anxiety but it helps for sleep and helps for pain some days. She is good about giving me 60 a month. Do I take all 60 each month, no, just like I don't take all the other meds as prescribed or I would be a strung out junkie. I take as needed, as in when my pain level is a 7-9 or when I haven't slept in 3 days or my anxiety is off the charts. I was telling my pain management doc that I don't "manage my pain" as they want you to bc I would be addicted. I choose to treat as needed for me. I hope you find another doc that realizes you need them...but why wouldn't a neurologist give you something for seizures! That's plan crazy! Good luck! PS - it's ok to fire a doc, they work for you and you should be part of the decision making when it comes to your health.
Well, I did not explain myself clearly. I need clonazepam to prevent seizures while asleep. What meds do to take for sleep? The med that you take, does it help eliminate night time seizures and what med is that?
I used to take it but was taken off long time ago. There are other things for sleep.
