This was my mri from 2021:
'new/progressed demyelinating lesions course along the lower medulla/upper cervical spinal cord and extending along the course of the spinal cord to the C2-C3 intervertebral disc space level.'

However on my last mri 5 months back he didn't even address C2 🤔. 'There is patchy T2 signal changes throughout the cervical spinal cord. Dominant lesion is associated with the C6-7 level centrally, within the left cord at the level of C5 and within the left cord at the level of C7. Overall when compared previously exam this does not appear significantly changed. '

I think'active' C2 lesions may cause some difficulty with lifting arms. Although it could be shoulders since C2 is pretty high up.

My spinal cord is Swiss cheese. I have foot drop if I overdo it and some balance issues (altho that’s likely from a cerebellum lesion) but otherwise fine. Most of my spinal lesions (when active) cause sensory symptoms (numbness, tingling, what feels like “electricity” up and down my legs, MS “hug”) etc but considering where all my lesions are located, I’d say what I experience due to them is fairly minimal. The beginning of my disease was VERY spinal cord heavy (cervical and thoracic) so I’m feeling lucky to be as functional as I am. My lesions are c2 all the way down through my thoracic.
