I too have neck and back pain. I have had MS for OMG 35 years. My back and neck issues started about 20 years ago. I also have other issues; stenosis, scoliosis and osteoporosis. My neurologist usually dismisses the idea that my pains (awful) COULD BE MS. He's wrong.๐ . This sucks,, but clearly you're not alone. Hang in there. And take it easy I wish everybody pain relief.
Yes major pain, started taking 5mg Baclofen. And rubbing Traumeel lotion https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC30...
Yes!! I actually read that MS can cause the pain in the low back and neck. I'm on baclifen for nerve pain. The nerves cause this pain or at least some of it. If you've had a back injury or neck injury, or even arthritis, that can make this type of pain even worse. My neurologist did not believe me when I told him that my low back hurt partially from. MS. Some general neurologist who don't specialize in MS (and even some neurologist who DO specialize in MS) do not know EVERYTHING about this complex disease! I'm also in pain management. The pain meds don't help nerve pain very much unless I add 10 mg of baclofen during the day, and 30mg at bedtime.together we fight this damn MS! Together we are a force to be reckoned with!!
I hope you find a neurologist who can get you hooked up with a good pain specialist.
Mostly lower back pain. :-(
