I taking Vumerity for 4 month and feel ok, few weeks I had some flushes and now everything is good

I've been taking Vumerity for almost 3 years with great results but it was brutal when I first started it. The diarrhea was never ending. I had to ease into taking the medication starting with one pill a day for a week increasing to 2 then 3 and finally full dose spacing it out weekly. Once I got to the full dose I felt and feel fine with good MRI results i would recommend it.

If I don't eat a hardy meal an hour before taking Vumerity I will have a reaction about 3 hours after taking it. I usually start itching on my upper body and it starts with red streaks for about an hour. I have had good results with lesions though. I try to eat enough to prevent the reaction and have Benadryl on hand too.

Just a quick follow up: I’m off Vumerity due to the increased flushing of my extremes. Back to square one. Thank you all for your comments and concern.

Thank you This has been very helpful. I have a weak, sensitive stomach so I’m quite worried about how I’ll deal with this drug. Starting Wed I’ll do one pill in am and second at night, both with meals. 😊
