Hi all i hope you are well..
Ive been suffering from extreme heat, numbness and sensitivity in my hips/thighs
I have recently been told ive transitioned on to secondary progressive MS. This is a new symptom for me. Does anyone know if this is a sign due to the spms. X

I would ask to have a nerve conduction test if you haven’t already. From your additional information you say nerves are involved, so definitely tell your neurologist you need to have this test done. Be your own advocate! It’s the only way to get things done.

My Dr. would prescribe a blister pack of prednisone for 6 days. That took the inflammation down and got me back to normal, well back to my normal.

Hi Kay
Maybe not MS symptoms per se. I'm PPMS and as my condition has worsened and I've gone past being able to do proper cardio exercise, my muscles have deconditioned (atrophied). I get lots of pain in my lower back, hips, sacroiliac joint, glutes & thighs but regard it as a comorbidity. Affects walking and standing significantly but is a MSk (mussculo-skeletal) issue rather than neurological.

Does that help / can you relate to those sensations?
Graeme
