Neuro wants to start me on Ocrevus infusions anyone tried this? And what was your experience or thoughts anyone please and thank you π
Hey Denzie333, I am on Ocrevus but for PPMS. Itβs a good therapy. I do not have issues with it been on for about 6 years. It prolongs progression, but I can notice some changes each year.
First, thank your neurologist. π
Ocrevus is rated as the 2nd most effective MS DMT drug ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvXEtaF7XB0). It has, generally, no or very few side effects -- but the list of *potential* side effects is a mile long and some could be serious. Ocrevus is, after all, a very serious immuno-suppressant DMT drug.
FWIW, I started using Ocrevus a month after the FDA approved it -- several years ago. Ocrevus works as advertised. It has stopped MS attacks in me, with nothing showing up on MRIs.
Ocrevus essentially pioneered the "kill the B cells" of our immune system. Within days of an infusion Ocrevus wipes out something like 90% of our immune system's B cells. That proves to be an effective way of stopping MS attacks without causing cancers or other bad effects. Ocrevus wills make us more susceptible to COVID-19 and things like colds or flus so you'll want to avoid those.
The "kill the B cells" strategy has been so successful that a couple of other MS DMT drugs have copied that strategy.
Hello Denzie I would like to know if your on the internet go You Tube and then type Dr Arron Boster. He gives a great picture of the medication and how it works for us that have MS
It's okay we know we're sick so we have to take something this Ocrevus prevents MS from getting worst.1 thing you can depend on is The disability is going to progress no matter what
