Good morning 🌞 they won't let Us donate blood if We have MS, once they found out I had to stop,it made Me anemic, and I was told It drains to Much 🥰 Out of Our bodies 😭 As We're Already fatigued enough, so for that reason I had to Stop 🛑. So Warriors Be Careful As You give Blood I know its Needed. Be Blessed,Safe, Beautiful, Smile 😁,Laugh, enjoy, Love
I am type A. I don’t believe blood type has anything to do with our condition 🤷
I don't think it makes any difference to MS. I have since learnt that the most common O type is the least likely to develop diabetes, where B type (me) is the most likely to develop diabetes, which explains it then, we just didn't get 'why me?'
Rhesus + or - makes no difference.
@A MyMSTeam Member I know I don't have it but as far as I know they still have restrictions on giving blood
Sara_Elle, I was taken off the blood donor list because of MS medications I chose to take. I am O- I knew I was/am a universal donor,but was told to stop donating I can begin donating again after a certain time period of no MS medication and normal blood work. The MS medication is working for me so this is the best choice for me + being a blood donor at this time. Thank you for explaining the negative and positive for blood types. I only knew about the rh factor which needed to be considered during pregnancy because my husband was O+ My middle son was 0+ but my first and third were both negative They are all blood donors My oldest also donates platelets because he has the patience to do so.
