At the moment my RRMS is very well controlled I'm symptomless and have had no relapses in seven or eight years. But I am constantly panicking that it could come back in full force and I would appreciate hearing from people about how they cope with the mental dread of this.
I have RRMS and have had no flare ups since 2018, when I was diagnosed. I do have symptoms but a lot of my symptoms can be attributed to my age. I know I have MS but don't dwell on the possibilities of what could happen
You cannot walk through life "expecting the worse". One day at a time. Pick your head up and roll your shoulders back, @A MyMSTeam Member!
Anthony, I find it best to adopt a warrior spirit and live life one day at a time. None of us truly knows what tomorrow may bring. Worrying about it isn't going to change anything as my hubby always tells me. That use to infuriate me but now I realize the wisdom in it. Like Chris said, the added stress can make your MS flare. If you find you are over stressing about it there are counselors who specialize in helping others cope with a chronic illness.
And hey! You always have us here to sound off too. Wishing you peace and joy!
I would do cognitive Behavioral therapy with someone who is skilled in it.
I feel like it was worse when it was bad. I get a little down when it flares still but true acceptance helps get rid of it. If you try to find some hobbies you enjoy that helps. Distract and reject them. Change scenery if you must.
