my last one said
‘Stable extensive multifocal confluent T2/FLAIR hyperintensities within deep frontoparietal and periventricular white matter, multiple of which are cavitary and multiple which are oriented perpendicularly to the callososeptal interface. No new intracranial plaques noted. No definite active demyelination.’

I really feel as though individuals with MS do not understand what the word lesion means in an MRI. A lesion is considered any pathological change. This can amount to a scratchy bruise or things that are not normally in an mri scan. A deadened cyst is an example. The fact that you have intense lesions basically means they are active. In other words they have not deadened that area, And therefore died themselves. It's quite complex but understand that lesion is not a dirty word.
Sorry, yes, my MS neurologist will likely be phoning me to discuss. I just wanted to be prepared with questions i might want to ask when he does. I can never understand these reports.
