I've had on-going chronic eye pain. I wake up and have junk in them. Now I have clear liquid running down my face from my eyes. I have steroid eye drops. My eye doctor has had me using them when my eyes start hurting. I have to not use them any longer than I'm supposed to, because they are steroids. I've been checked for infection. It's not that. It's from MS inflammation.
Watery eyes and eye pain can indeed be linked to MS-related inflammation or secondary conditions like dry eye syndrome. I have experienced this problem! For me I have increased the amount of Vegetables that I consume in a day because they are good for my eyes and i also bought an Air Purifier for my Bedroom which helps me a lot!
I seriously believe that these tears and burning eyes are dry eye. You need moisturizing eye drops. Or do what I do, soak a washcloths and squish the water into your eyes. Good luck!
