I had tried several DMTs after my diagnosis, but I told my neurologist more than once that I wasn't sure the treatments were working for me. After moving, I started with a new doctor who suggested Rituximab. Though skeptical, I gave Rituximab a shot . I felt like dirt for a day but day 2 I finally felt like I wasn't going to collapse but felt steadier on my feet which gave me the confidence to wall walk down the hall from my bedroom. I'm not saying I'm now a runner but I feel more confident standing. I haven't felt any side effects since after my first infusionand that was years ago.
Yes, I was told it was mostly for younger people. It was suggested to try for a year, but I just don't know if I will. All input helps, thank you!
