@A MyMSTeam Member, you are spot on when you mentioned @A MyMSTeam Member, I would take his assessment of those walking sticks as 100% fact, lol!
@A MyMSTeam Member, I have a wooden hiking/walking stick like you describe. I am too tall to be hunched over with a cane! My wife found my walking stick at the Adirondack Store in Northville, NY on Lake Sacandaga! I love it and get many compliments on it.
I have tried trekking poles just once, and found that they did not quite meet my personal needs. The grip is not easy with my weaker right hand, and therefore less stability, and more difficult to get the momentum needed to swing my ms right leg forward. I place a great deal of faith in my metal sticks with Fischer Handles.
I do not believe that there is a ' ONE SIZE FITS ALL' situation, as MS has such a wide spread of individual symptoms and consequences. I will always give my thoughts based on personal experience, but know that MY WAY isn't the ONLY WAY!
