For vertigo and dizziness symptoms in MS, it's essential to first consult with your neurologist to determine the root cause before starting any treatment. Over-the-counter motion sickness medications can provide relief for many people, and your doctor may prescribe stronger options if needed.

Some people find relief through antihistamines, benzodiazepines, or short courses of corticosteroids. If you believe your current MS medication might be causing dizziness, discuss potential medication changes with your healthcare team. Beyond medication, several practical management strategies can help:
- Stay seated until dizzy spells pass
- Use support devices like canes or walkers if needed
- Keep your home free of tripping hazards
- Consider physical therapy, especially vestibular rehabilitation therapy
- Try vision-stability training and balance retraining exercises

Remember to move slowly when experiencing symptoms and ensure you have proper support nearby. If vertigo symptoms come on suddenly or become severe, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
