What do you do when your right foot is hot? The left foot wants to point? The right foot wants to clench? The left foot wants to dance? The right foot wants to drag? The left foot is on fire? The right foot is content? UGH, miserable MS!
Boy, if we all could afford a masseuse. It would help so much. When I have spasm issues. I massage the area, apply some lidocaine cream, or if area is large enough, a patch of lidocaine.
About the only thing I can suggest when the feet are doing their own thing.,.try walking on your hands ๐,... seriously I have the same problem along with ridiculous cramps... don't ya love it when you explain that to a DR. They all say "eat a banana ๐"..I found that collegen and potassium...a good natural product....helps... you could also tell folks it's the new dance craze๐คธ๐
I use Voltarin Gel (it's an NSAID) and/or Lidocaine Gel when I get the sensation of "frostbite" (an icy hot pain) on my feet and then put on wool socks (they are super warm (but not hot), moisture wicking and soft. After 30 minutes or so I can usually take the socks off because the gel has begun working. When my toes or arch cramp I either have to find a way to stretch them myself (like holding on to a counter or wall and rising up on my toes or the balls of my feet) or ask my wife to press my toes up to stretch them out and then apply a heating pad to try to keep them relaxed. I also have a foot massager that I can slide my feet into and it provides a deep tissue massage and heat (this works sometimes, but sometimes the massage has the effect of overstimulating the nerves and making it worse). Sometimes it just isn't possible to get my feet fully comfortable.
I just got Magnesium Oil in a spray. I think any form of Magnesium is good
It works for me !
No matter what form my experience of the present moment takes I am no longer opposing the form of what my experience of this moment takes. This approach to living my life with MS brings me stillness, peace and ultimately happiness. ๐ Be well, Robert
