Yes, many people with MS experience itching and skin sensations, including on their feet. This type of itching is often related to nerve damage (demyelination) rather than actual skin conditions. When MS damages the protective coating around nerves, it can cause the brain to misinterpret signals, resulting in sensations like itching or burning. Several MyMSTeam members have reported experiencing itchy skin in various areas, including their legs and feet. The itching can be caused by:

• MS itself (neuropathic pain)
• Side effects from MS medications
• Dry skin from medications

If you're experiencing persistent itching, it's worth discussing with your healthcare provider as they can help determine the specific cause and recommend appropriate treatments.
