I have leg pain after walking for medium length of time. Like doing groceries or walking about the length of a beach boardwalk. Makes it difficult to sleep. Stabbing pain.

Leg pain in MS can manifest in different ways, including stabbing sensations and spasms. This type of pain is often related to paresthesia, which can cause various uncomfortable sensations like:

• Stabbing or prickling feelings
• Pins and needles
• Burning sensations
• Static tingling

It's helpful to track details about your pain episodes:
• What triggers it
• How long it lasts
• What helps relieve it
• When it occurs (like after specific activities) Walking difficulties are common with MS and can affect daily activities. When fatigue sets in during activities like grocery shopping, your walking may become unsteady and you might start dragging one leg. This uneven gait can lead to increased pain and discomfort.

Consider using mobility aids for longer walking activities to help prevent fatigue and reduce pain. It's important to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider, as they can recommend appropriate pain management strategies and mobility solutions.
