Several natural approaches have shown promise for managing MS symptoms. Vitamin D supplementation has demonstrated benefits, with research showing lower vitamin D levels during relapses compared to remission periods. Some studies indicate vitamin D supplements may help reduce inflammation.

Ginkgo biloba has also been studied, with some research showing modest improvements in symptom severity, functionality, and fatigue when taking 240mg daily. Other natural options that some people with MS find helpful include:

- Medical cannabis
- Yoga
- Massage
- Acupuncture
- Probiotics
- Omega-3 supplements
- Melatonin

However, it's crucial to discuss any supplements or alternative treatments with your healthcare provider before starting them, as effectiveness can vary between individuals and there may be interactions with MS medications. Remember to purchase any supplements from reputable sources like local pharmacies rather than unknown online vendors. This helps ensure you're getting quality products that match their label descriptions. What works for one person may not work for another, so work with your healthcare team to find the right approach for you.
