Can MS lesions disappear? While MS lesions (areas of damage) can form on the brain and spinal cord during attacks, the visibility of lesions may change over time. However, this doesn't necessarily mean the damage has healed completely.

The pattern of MS typically involves periods of flares (attacks) and remission. During remission periods, symptoms may improve and inflammation may decrease, which can make lesions appear less prominent on imaging. However, repeated attacks can still lead to accumulating damage over time. It's important to work with your healthcare team to:
• Get quick treatment during flares to prevent serious lasting damage
• Monitor disease progression through regular imaging
• Stay on prescribed disease-modifying therapies to help reduce new lesion formation
• Discuss any concerns about your symptoms or treatment plan

Early intervention and consistent treatment are key factors in managing MS and potentially limiting permanent damage from lesions.

A few days ago at my Neurologist visit, he said the lesion(s) on my T-spine were only visible b/c he knew where to look...meaning that they have decreased significantly!

Damien come I did not know that our bodies produce myelin and is destroyed by our immune system. I wonder if there is any proof of damage myelin being stripped away and replaced by Own body. I wonder if promoting the production of myelin brings on an MS Flare.
