I think you are lucky to be on a DMT, but it sucks if you don't feel like it is working. Some days I can hardly wait until I can try something ...my neurologist referral is still "pending review".. going into the 3rd month ( oh man I am frustrated ). Those DMT's you have tried hasn't made things feel worse I hope? I see commercials constantly for both those...

So, all I do right now IS take supplements for energy... it is one of my biggest issues.

No, supplements cannot replace disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) for treating MS. While supplement marketing can be persuasive, there is no scientific evidence that supplements can slow MS progression or reduce relapses. DMTs, on the other hand, have been proven through extensive clinical trials to be effective at reducing relapses and slowing disease progression.

Since MS is a progressive condition, it's crucial not to skip treatments that prevent lasting damage. DMTs help control the immune system and protect the nervous system from long-term damage. It's important to note that most supplements aren't regulated by the FDA and may contain contaminants. If you're interested in taking supplements, always discuss this with your healthcare provider first, as some supplements can interact with DMT medications and either reduce their effectiveness or increase side effects.
