I've looked up ways to decorate canes but didn't find much. I did find rubber tips that come in many different colors. I think I'm going to buy myself purple ones (I have a quad cane) for Christmas.

Do people with MS want more fashionable canes?

Absolutely! Many people with MS express a strong desire for walking canes that are stylish and reflect their personal identity, not just functional medical equipment.

A MyMSTeam member shared their experience searching for a cane at age 31 and feeling discouraged by the limited options. Most canes were marketed exclusively to seniors, with outdated designs that didn't match their style or age group.

What people want in a cane:

- Something that complements their personal style
- Versatile and fashionable designs
- Options that feel like an extension of who they are, not just a medical device
- Choices beyond the traditional "senior-targeted" designs

The good news is that chronic illness influencers on social media are helping change this narrative by showcasing stylish mobility aids. This visibility helps reduce shame and empowers people to find canes they're actually proud to use.

Finding a cane you love can make a real difference in how you feel about using it. Whether you want something with cats, a design for special events, or just something that matches your vibe - your mobility aid should suit you and your personality.
