Members responding to a question about medication for primary progressive MS most often pointed to Ocrevus as the go-to FDA-approved treatment, with many sharing that it has helped reduce new lesions and flares. Several members also mentioned Mayzent as an option, with one noting no new lesions in five years and receiving it free through Novartis, while another shared a difficult experience being unable to return to Ocrevus after a breast cancer diagnosis. A recurring theme was the importance of working with a knowledgeable, supportive neurologist, and one member encouraged others to seek a second opinion if their doctor dismissed available treatment options.

My Neuro has recommended Mayzent for me. 1-2mg pill daily, no new lesions in 5 years. Infusion overload, not my style. My meds through Novartis are free!
