for a maximum of 2 years because of my age. I have declined because it will not make me feel better (probably worse), I have young children (8 and 10 yrs old) plus I have long covid too. Are there others here that are not taking medication? I just do not see the point of merely 4 times Ocrelizumab as I have been walking around with MS probably since 2010...

I was diagnosed 1998. I started dmt's 2000. I did Copaxone, Tysabri and Gilenya. I quit about 2 years ago. Several skin cancer lesions and I'm over 60. Just didn't seem worth the risk. Also, my amazing neurologist retired. Not really comfortable with the new one. I'll just try to symptom manage and pray for the best.

@A MyMSTeam Member I should have been diagnosed a long time ago as well. That’s hard to feel comfortable trusting her/his recommendations when they misdiagnosed you in the past . Trust your gut , and do what feels right to you. Best of luck!

Hello @A MyMSTeam Member. I was diagnosed 35 years ago, before the DMTs appeared. I decided against them for various reasons, one being my concern about taking meds that were designed to affect my immune system. Years later, I still recall announcing this reason to two neurologists and I still recall their anxious grins as I said this. Later, one of these neuros left the clinic and ran for a position in the provincial legislature here. She won the election and is still a member of the legislature. Keeps getting elected. Of course, I don't know her reasoning but I applaud her decision.

I am thinking about getting a second opinion. I also want to change my appointed neurologist as he misdiagnosed me in 2023. According to him I was perfectly fine 🥴

That does sound a little strange. Have you considered a second opinion from a different doctor?
