For whatever reason CBD did nothing for me. The combination of CBC & THC was my magic sauce.

Great question! There are quite a few complementary and alternative approaches that people with MS explore to help manage symptoms. Here's a helpful overview:

Cannabis (THC & CBD)
THC and CBD have been studied for MS-related symptoms like pain, spasticity, and bladder problems. However, there are some important things to know:

- THC is still illegal in many states, though medical forms exist in some
- Both compounds can cause side effects including dizziness, difficulty concentrating, and falls
- Smoking cannabis is not recommended as it can damage your lungs
- Always talk to your neurologist before trying either

Other Complementary Treatments
Many MyMSTeam members report benefits from a range of alternatives, including:

- Acupuncture – may help with pain, numbness, tingling, spasticity, and mood
- Massage therapy – can help with relaxation and symptom relief
- Reflexology – some studies show symptom relief for MS
- Yoga – supports mobility and mood
- Vitamin D supplements – commonly explored, but check with your doctor first Lifestyle Approaches
Sometimes the basics make a big difference:

- Eating a balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables while avoiding processed foods and saturated fats
- Regular exercise like walking or swimming to maintain strength and boost mood
- Good sleep habits to avoid triggering symptoms
- Staying cool, as heat can temporarily worsen MS symptoms

Whatever route is being considered, it's really important to loop in your neurologist first. Some supplements and alternative treatments can interact with disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) or make certain symptoms worse. Your doctor can help weigh the risks and benefits based on your specific situation.
