Hello peeps, from hot 🔥 Havasu!! Stayin' cool inside! 😎
Hi Heather, I answered in other people's questions but I will answer yours also. Most importantly, I time my activity and limit my time in the sun but will go out if absolutely necessary like getting food for the weekend. When I do that, I almost always bring with me a filled-up, chilled bottle of water, easy to carry and eat fruit like grapes and berries and wear a bucket or sunhat. During the heat of the day when I've done everything I need for the day, I stay home in air conditioning. Sometimes, I go to the movie theater and go out to eat as well as hang out at the mall the theater is in until around dinner time or 7 p.m.
Thank you for the Celsius/Centigrade computation, Heather. Sadly every summer, it gets hotter than this in July and August, with 3-4, sometimes 5 day heatwaves of 100F+/40C+-that's the part that literally and figuratively sucks about Northern California. Even down in S.F., Pacifica, Half Moon Bay and other places on the coast, even up in the Sierras-no relief, ugh!
91° Wednesday! That's 32°C in New Zealand, that's hot! I'm so sorry, it must be awful, very difficult to keep cool. Anything over 20°C makes me very brain-foggy & faint.
I bought a hot-water bottle shaped like a U, to go around my neck, Well, at the end of each day here in summer I fill it up with water, then in the fridge overnight, & it's just wonderful on the back of my neck!!
Take extra care of yourselves dear people, like Margann said -lots of ice cream 🍨 🏝️

Good Sunday morning, Lyndie!
