I got both vaccines yesterday morning as advised by my doctor. I’m always reluctant to get them because I feel sick for 2 -3 days. I do get an infusion (Briumvi) twice a year so my doctor and I made sure the timing was good prior to my next infusion.

I never got the yearly influenza before I was diagnosed with MS. I was quite healthy younger …. Just a whole lot of dizziness, migraines, numbness and pins and needles

Members shared their personal experiences with COVID and flu vaccines, with many agreeing that feeling under the weather for a few days afterward is very common, even for people without MS. A recurring theme was the benefit of spacing out vaccines by a few weeks, which several members said their neurologists recommended to reduce side effects and ease the strain on a compromised immune system. Many community members stressed that getting vaccinated is especially important with MS, since catching COVID or the flu could lead to serious illness or a hospital stay.

@A MyMSTeam Member I have found that separating them makes the side effects a lot less.

Whenever I have to get a vaccine I always space them out a few weeks. It's what my neurologist advised. Especially with having a compromised immunity. And I'm only getting the flu shot, never again will I get the covid shot.

Very first covid booster, felt as if I was in the biggest fist fight ever. That was it for me

When I get my vaccines I plan to chill at home afterwards. When I get my MS infusions I go early and rest the rest of that day & the next day. Pace = Safety.
