Lately , I have been thinking about starting a YouTube channel or maybe starting a local support group, fundraiser etc. It wouldn’t be something I can do full time or everyday of course, but even a little bit of awareness might help someone. I was reading through a lot of posts here , and most of it is of daily struggles or challenges and complaints about doctors or lack of a cure . Just wondering if anyone does anything to contribute? Would love some ideas friends .

Members responded warmly to a question about raising money and awareness for MS, sharing a variety of ways they contribute to the cause. Several members described participating in events like MS Walks, a 50K run, and the MS Mudrun, while one member shared a foundation they created to provide free exercise resources to people with MS. A recurring theme was that every effort counts, no matter how small, and the community encouraged the original poster to start their YouTube channel, reminding them that even a little awareness can make a real difference.

I raised over £2000 for MS Society a couple of years ago by doing The Mayor 50K which involved running 50Km throughout May.
Now I wear my MS Society tee shirt every week when I do parkrun on Saturday morning which helps to raise awareness and always gets conversations started with other runners. I'm quite well known at my local parkrun because I'm always near the back of the crowd of 400 - 500 people and I always wear my orange MS Society tee shirt.

Hi Tiffany246 the National MS society raises a fair amount. I'm sure even they would tell you it's not possible to raise to much money. Good luck if you try it on your own . Don't let the size of the problem discourage. People with ms can do good and even great things it's just many times harder. The fact that it's extremely difficult 😪 means that when you succeed it means that much more.
