It's completely understandable to feel scared right now. What you're going through is really hard, and those feelings are valid. You are not alone in this.

Many MyMSTeam members have faced similar moments of fear and uncertainty as their mobility changed. One member shared that they went from dreading the idea of a wheelchair to feeling complete relief once they had one — finding it gave them back a sense of safety and freedom. The most important step right now is to reach out to your neurologist or care team as soon as possible. Rapid changes in mobility need to be assessed quickly. They can:

- Review your current treatment plan
- Refer you to a physical therapist to help with strength and positioning
- Recommend the right wheelchair setup to support your posture and safety
- Connect you with occupational therapy for help with daily tasks like getting up safely

A physical therapist in particular can work with you on techniques and equipment to help you move more safely, even when getting up independently feels impossible right now. Please don't face this alone. Leaning on your care team, loved ones, and the MyMSTeam community can make a real difference during moments like this. There is support available, and there are people who truly understand what you're going through. 💙
