I will wake up fine and then go into a "spell". It is my frustration in my MS. It can last a few minutes to a few days.

Many community members related to experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness as a frustrating and ongoing part of living with MS, with some describing it as a daily challenge that worsens over time or during flare-ups. Several members shared concerning moments like blacking out in the shower or falling and hitting their head, highlighting how serious these spells can be. A practical tip shared was asking a doctor about Antivert (Meclizine) for relief, and one member noted that cold temperatures helped ease symptoms during milder episodes.

I have dizziness everyday. The morning period, after I wake up, I call it my out of body experience. But its always there during the day. Sometimes milder, sometimes worse, but usually doesn´t get to that unbearable vertigo point. That only happens when I have a flareup. Then it's bad stuff. Cold helps to snap out of it.

All the time! Two days ago I had been sitting on the edge of my bed, got up to walk 5 feet to my bathroom and blacked out, fell backwards and wacked my head on a doorjamb, and table, and finally the hardwood floor. Woke up 10 minutes later not knowing what had just happened.

I occasionally will become lightheaded, there was one time I blacked out in the shower and I do not remember being lightheaded or dizzy, I came to, on the shower floor. . .For me dizzy is when the room spins. The only time I was dizzy was when I was 1st dx 4 years ago, and it last for 4 wks continuously. I haven't had a dizzy spell since
