My migraine specialist believes this is what I am experiencing with some of my pain. What is your experience? How has it been treated? Thank you!

I have suffered with TN (trigeminal neuralgia)for the last 5 years. It is the worse pain known to man. I've been thrown on the floor screaming with electrical shocks in my left side of my face. I'm allergic to all Meds. I've had a brain operation, to no avail, yet for most people that takes care of the problem. MS can not even compare to the pain and disability of TN

@Imcatt - I forgot...sleeping upright with an extra pillow has made the world of difference for me! (I don't EVER sleep on my right side, the one with pain)!
With hope.

@A MyMSTeam Member - thanks you so very much for the prayers - feeling a little better today -slept thru the night without getting up to take pain meds! Doctor appointment tomorrow at 10 a.m. Hoping to get some answers and praying that this pain leaves me totally very soon - I am so glad I found this forum - it has been so helpful to know I am not alone in this MS struggle - I have a fabulous support system with my entire family but talking to others who know what I am going through makes the struggle so much better - hugs to everyone out there with MS.

So sorry to hear about your attack! Trigeminal Neuralgia is not necessarily an MS relapse. While I have had problems with it, I know of many who suffer TN but do not have MS.
I have taken Tegritol (Carmazepime), Oxczrmazepine and Gabapentine. Your Neurologist should know the best pain relief for you. I pray you feel better soon.
With hope.
