Been on Gilenya for over a year....no side effects, flare ups have died down and no new lesions on follow up MRIs so far....so much better taking a pill than doing the shots or infusions

‡Studies showed that GILENYA reduced the frequency of relapses by 52% in a 1-year study vs Avonex®, and by 54% in a 2-year study vs placebo. At the 1-year mark in a clinical trial, 83% of people on GILENYA were relapse-free. Of those people taking Avonex instead, 70% were relapse-free at year's end. In a separate study, 70% of the people on GILENYA were relapse-free for the entire 2 years. For the people taking placebo during that time, 46% of them stayed relapse-free.

I've been taking Gylenia for over a year now, no side effects easy to use for me, i hated taking the needles and the side effects killed me, no more flu like symptoms.

I've had a great experience so far with Gilenya! I go in later this week for a follow up eye appointment and a follow up MRI in June to see if there's any new lesions. I've liked it a lot more than Copaxone for a few reasons: 1) I had really bad injection site reactions with Copaxone. 2) It's a pain having to go through airport security with pre-filled syringes of medication. 3) I can just set the Gilenya next to my multi-vitamins and add that to my nightly routine.

It's been a better experience overall and I'd much rather be on a pill that has been helpful so far. Best wishes in making a decision on a treatment course!

Lisa, I've been on Gilenya since January....so about 4 months. I'm so glad you won't have to deal with Copaxone anymore!
