I am recently returned to treatment with Gilenya. I was on it right after it got approved back in '10 and was on it until Feb of '14 when I got pregnant. I did really well with it and didn't have too many side effects. I was on Rebif before and had to come off. Injection site pain and bruising was terrible and depression got really bad. I like the easiness of Gilenya. Wish I didn't have to take anything

I just started Gilenya 3 months ago. Everything seems to be working well. This is my first ms medication. I don't have any real side affects. I've had migraines my entire life anyway so I would be able to tell a difference.

I don't know much about Tysabri but know it has strong side effects. For your first dose of Gilenya you will have to go to the doctor's office for at least 6 hours. They make you take an EKG and monitor your heart. It can cause your heart rate to slow down. Mine did and they just have me move around for a little while and I was fine (both times). You will need to be seen by an opthamalist to check for macular edema. Gilenya can cause it too but I have never had it effect my eyes. You should also be given a standing order to have your blood work completed quarterly; to check your WBC and liver enzymes. I haven't had REAL problems with Gilenya. My blood counts are always low, which is expected but overall pretty happy with it. Doing just straight numbers based on believed initial onset until I was diagnosed, I develop a lesion every 4 months (not scientific or proven) and while on Gilenya I only developed 3-5 over 4 years.

I am checking to see if anyone gained weight on the 3 x a week Copaxone. And also for Aubagio. Anyone lactose intolerant on Aubagio?

I hope I don't have the weight gain problem! I have been on Tysabri for 3.5 yrs and will be going on Gylenia in a few weeks. Really scared about the change.
