SO my body has decided it doesn't need sleep to function, it just hasn't informed my brain. Over the last few weeks, I am averaging 2 hrs of sleep a night. Can fall asleep. Tried OTC meds, melatonin, sleep habits and nothing works. Plus I take a few meds at bedtime that used to make me drowsy, but it doesn't anymore. Tried lunesta, but horrible after taste. Do you use any sleep aides? It so flustering, I spend all day trying to stay awake, and when I can sleep, I can't!

I take seraquel to quiet down my mind, then I take a Xanax, and some Melatonin. For me, that seems to work 98% of the time. Be blessed...

I have been taking Klonopin for about a month now. It helps slow down all the "thoughts" that are racing thru my mind. It does help, but then it takes me a while to sleep it off. Seems like it lasts 10-12 hours. Not a good thing if you have to be somewhere in the mornings. But, I do sleep well with it.

I take Benadryl. It helps me sleep and I am not groggy in the morning. This also helped me when I was on the IV steroids.

I do not take anything right now but my Dr. has offered me Ambien for sleep. I take many other medications and was reluctant to add yet another but I may take him up on the offer to see how it works for me. It is suppose to work very well and not leave you feeling groggy in the morning.
